Incoming email has a severe delay in loading on my Mac Mini running macOS 12.7.4

The body of my incoming 'new' emails take 10' or so to load. I can see the sender/subject/ etc. but not the body of the message.

Has anyone found a solution to this?

Using Monterey 12.7.4 - The has been going on ever since one of the updates for Monterey (cannot remember which iteration).

Extremely frustrating to have to wait for each separate email to load.

Etrecheck is the best diagnostic tool we have here to try to evaluate the state of a Mac's system and, to some degree, hardware. If you go to How to use the Add Text Feature When Posting Large Amounts of Text, i.e. an Etrecheck Report

there are a couple of reports in the post that will demonstrate what is included in the report. There is no personal info included and even the hard drives names, like Macintosh HD - Data, are changed to M*****************a to keep the anonymity. Without it we really can't delve any more into the root cause of your problem. The free version is more than enough to use.

Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.

Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?

We need to see what all is running, a report from this will not display any personal info...

Slow iMac 2017 - Apple Community

The Apple support people have walked me thru everything in their bag of 'tricks' Safe mode start a few times, no never have used a VPN, checked anti-virus (Malware) and it was fine, no cleaning apps, etc.

Only use for email, iMessages, and browser things. I clear history almost every single night and have not accepted any overtures to join groups or enter any data.

I am at a loss.

the only real idea the Apple folks suggested was to update my computer (not going to happen - retired, very tight budget, and do not ned all the newest things that come with a newer model.

Sorry BDAqua but being computer challanged i will not Use the EtreCheck (since I do not know anything about it and after looking at it's site, it seems to lead to a help for a fee situation). Thanks anyway.
