Gave Bluetooth device a custom name, chose to “Forget Device”, now I can’t reconnect

I have 2 cars. I chose to edit the device names on my phone. Called one (Chevy) and one (Honda)

I then went into the options in the bluetooths and chose “Forget Device”

Went to reconnect them / start over kinda, Now when the phone searches it picks up the custom names I had previously named them. But as soon as I try to connect (as a new BT device) i get the “Failed to connect” on both stereos, so I can’t add them now.
