I have a 13 Pro Max and only use original lightning cable, adapter and MagSafe charger.
Recently, the iPhone stopped charging with original lightning cables. This is strange, because it will charge with unoriginal/knockoff ones.
The original cables work because I tried on AirPods.
Does anyone know what this could be?

Possibly the knock-off ones physically damaged the port, or even blew the charge circuit behind the port.
If you have AppleCare+ then have it fixed, otherwise you are looking at many hundreds of dollars/pounds/euros to get it fixed.

I do only charge with original ones, but of course when this issued happened, I needed to know if the port was damaged permanently. So I tried with other cables, including a knockoff one, and realised it still worked with those ones and the issue is only with original cables.
OK now the situation is complete.
My son's iphone 12 has a similar problem. I bought him a few £5 knock-off MagSafe pucks to use, as the quote was £479 to fix the port.
