Does Apple one year warranty for iPhone cover charging ports?

Apples one year limited warranty covers any hardware defect, including the charging port. If it’s not a defect has or is caused by misuse, accidental, or liquid damage the one year limited warranty does not cover it.

There are lots of ways that could happen, including dropping the phone in liquid or splashing liquid on the phone.

Keep electronics away from liquid.

Drop the phone in a toilet (statistically, the most common cause of water damage). Or a dishpan. Or a puddle. Or don’t keep it protected in a heavy rainstorm. You can use your imagination for other possible scenarios.

Putting phones in cup holders that had stuff (often soda) spilled in them used to be a favorite among my customers.
