charging port covered under warranty

bought my iphone 15 plus last year in november and now randomly after 10 months its charging port drops charging in between and gets the notification again and again . used with care . i wonder if this is covered in warranty.

If the charging port has actually failed, then yes, it's covered under warranty. But first, try cleaning it

and wipe off the connectors of your charging cable (if they're particularly dirty, some isopropyl alcohol will help). That may do the trick. If not, then of course try restarting the iPhone if you have not already done so, and confirm that your charger is working as it should; borrow another if possible.


If all fails, then take the iPhone and your charger to an Apple Store or authorized Apple service center for examination.

If you are asking about the regular AppleCare warranty, that would not cover any kind of physical damage to the port, but it would cover a manufacturing defect.


Of course, if this were a manufacturing defect, the issue would likely have shown up long before now.


So, there is a real "gray" area here. All that you can do is make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop to let them check out the phone and go over your options with you.
