change siri search engine

I’m not taking about Safari and its search engine. That is already DDG. But when I use Siri - which is rare because it’s truly terrible - it uses Google.

When other users ask the question (change Siri search engine) elsewhere, everyone replies with how to change the Safari search engine. Not what I am looking for.

is this part of Apple’s deal with Google? To force users to use Google when using (the atrociously incompetent) Siri?

Siri ignores request to search DuckDuckGo i prefer not to use Google. It was previously possible to ask Siri to search an alternative…. Eg. “hey siri, search DuckDuckGo for the magna carta”. Siri now ignores this and provides Google results. Siri removes the word DuckDuckGo from the search as if intentionally ignoring it. Was Apple paid to remove this by google?

I can’t get Siri to use Google for web searches instead of Baidu Hi guys I recently got the iPhone 16 from China, where I live right now. I can’t get Siri to use Google for web searches instead of Baidu. I already talked to Apple support, they tried to help, but couldn’t find a solution and recommended that I ask the community. So do you have a solution for this problem? PS I used to have an iPhone 12 mini that I also bought from China and it didn’t have this problem. Siri was working perfectly using Google search. Thanks!
