Greetings. When I ask Siri to drive somewhere it says that I need Waze to be installed. I don’t have Waze app and I want to use Google map. Is there a way to stop Siri asking me to install Waze? I know I can tell “use Google map” but it annoys me. Thanks.

Does Siri have access to Google Maps? Please follow this path,
iPhone > Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > scroll down > Apps > scroll down > Google Maps > enable all settings
Delete Apple Maps from your iPhone and Google Maps will become the default. Apple Maps can always be downloaded from Apple App Store in the future if you want to change back.
What country are you in?
Did you have it installed at one time and set it to the default, then remove it?
I had but I don’t recall setting it as default. I can’t find an option to set Google map as default now.
That didn’t work. Now when I ask Siri to drive somewhere I see pop up messages asking to restore Apple map.
