Plug one in but still no joy but as I turned on screen when black then back to no signal and again when you power off goes black and then no signal

Apple-firmware 5870 is a good card, but runs hotter, and its fan is louder.
and yes, it has two six-pin cables, and both are required to operate that card.
You should be able to buy a dvd of Snow Leopard for around $30… as for your GT610 question…. It’ll
work with a GT130, GT 285 not a gt 610… a radeon HD 7950 will work just fine though
