In MacBook Pro Finder, what is Command-Control-2?

I used Command-Control-2 in the Finder on my MacBook Pro. It changed the file folders on my desktop in a way that I can't be sure of. I had previously used this command to access the Reading List while in Safari. What I want to know is what might have been done to my desktop folders. There are less of them. Maybe they have been combined?

If you press ctrl+cmd+2 with a current Finder Window, it will change the grouping to kind and if by example, I am in the Pictures folder in Icon view, that keyboard shortcut will change the view to a row of Folders, then a Developer cateogry with SVG documents, then another row of Documents (typically .eps).

Entering a ctrl+cmd+1 switches the view to one where grouping is by Name which may undo the effect caused by the first keyboard shortcut. When you look at the Group menu in a Finder window, it would appear that None is 0, Name is 1, Kind is 2, and so on for their role in ctrl+cmd+number.

Always make certain that you have pointer focus in the application where you want to invoke the keyboard shortcut.
