How can I view all my open apps on iPad 10th generation?

I have a new iPad 10. Is there a way to see open apps and close them? On my iPad 6 you could press the home button or swipe lower left corner up. When I do that on iPad 10 it takes a screenshot.

is this no longer an option?

is there a way to see open apps?

Simply swipe upwards from the bottom edge to the centre of the screen - and pause briefly before lifting your finger from the screen. This gesture will open the App switcher page - where you will see a thumbnail image of each open App.

Swipe left of right to scroll through the open Apps - the most recently open being towards the right. Apps are force closed by swiping the unwanted App off the top of the screen.

When you're finished, simply tap an empty area of the screen to return to Home Screen. Tap a thumbnail to return to the corresponding App window.
