The best way to track an iPhone, before you lose access to it, is to open the Find My app and register your phone on someone else’s iPhone. (i.e. I used Find My with my dad’s iPhone and registered his phone on my iPhone… so now, if he misplaces it, I can easily find its location.)

If you’ve lost the phone already, just call your lost phone. If you can hear its ring then I’m positive you’ll find it. :)
