Problems using cricut design space app due to slow lag

I have an iPad Pro fully updated but when i use the cricut design space app it lags very slowly when trying to manipulate shapes on the screen. I have the same app on my iPhone which has no problem like this. It makes it impossible to use on my iPad. I have contacted cricut and they assure me that there is nothing wrong with the app and it is an issue with my iPad. I have plenty of storage space on my iPad 130GB left out of the 256GB, my wi fi has ample upload and download speeds and no other browsers or apps are running at the same time as using the cricut app. I have no problems with any other apps just Cricut design space. As design space is the only app that can operate my cricut machine it renders the expensive machine useless.
