IOS 17.4.1 iPhone Crashing

I updated my iPhone 14 pro to iOS 17.4.1. Since then I have been unable to use wallet (Apple Pay), call/ text, and numerous other apps including banking and settings as phone becomes unresponsive. I thought it was an issue with my screen, yet on other apps (social media) the screen works completely fine.

I took it to a Genius Bar when I first had issues with my Apple Pay. They said my sensor was broken and that was causing all the issues with my wallet, etc and it would cost 500 quid to fix. I came home, logged out of my Apple ID, forced rest, restarted phone and signed back in. This fixed the apple wallet/pay issue so I am doubting it is now a hardware issue?? Since then loads of other apps have started failing, including the Apple Pay again. At this point I think it is a software issue not hardware - and they all started since upgrading to iOS 17.4.1. I can't even sign out of my Apple ID without my phone crashing.

Anyone else ?

Sorry, I overlooked your mention of "iPhone 14 pro"! ...That being the case, my previous reply is not applicable.

And presumably the iPhone XR was already selected as "your device" by default when you initially posted – and you didn't change it to iPhone 14 Pro.

Anyway, starting over... Did you buy the 14 Pro new? — If not, this may be worth checking:
