airpod pro charging lights never show yellow - only the green light comes on when I plug in USB-C cord, after using for 2+ hours, and iPhone also shows 100% charged (my old Airpod 2's always showed yellow after using)

I had airpod 2, now I have airpods pro - after 2+ hours of use with the pro the yellow light on case does not come on - its's green - and my iPhone says fully charged - makes no sense - how can it be completely charged - where is the yellow light? I always with my airpods 2 saw the yellow light come on after using and then, sometime later when the airpods 2 were charged and I unplugged and replugged the light came on green - something must be wrong with the Pro's case and lights.
