iPad Air 5th Gen Lock/Unlock Feature

Anyone else having issues with the iPad lock/unlock feature with their cases? When I have the lock/unlock feature on my iPad thinks it’s got the cover covering the screen so it automatically locks the screen with it being open. It gets really annoying because it suddenly turns off the screen in the middle of me doing something. I can’t even unlock my iPad without it having the lock the screen right away.
