Adding/Changing iTune Artist Photo

It's been years since Apple eliminated the ability for iTunes users to change/add artist photos. The result is a library whose display is populated largely by generic microphones (or, worse, the photo of a different artist with the same name). I use an AppleTV to play my digital library, and scrolling through hundreds of artists without visual prompts is aggravating (plus it makes the television display aesthetically unpleasant).

Has anyone ever found a work-around for this? Or have any ideas on how to prevail upon Apple to return this functionality to users? I send it in as a suggestion every year or so, but no luck.
