Apple´s barometer app stopped working in iOS 17.4

I have an iPhone 14 Pro, currently running the latest iOS, 17.4.1. Since updating to 17.4. Apple´s pre-installed barometer app has stopped working. I had hoped this might be fixed with the latest update, as I´m a keen weather watcher. I have tried the usual: restarts, forced restarts, and as a last resort deleted the barometer app and went to the App Store to download it again. But it has disappeared, nowhere to be found! Could it be that Apple knows that their barometer app no longer works and has just removed it? But it worked perfectly before iOS 17.4. I have since found another barometer app that works, but I think that Apple´s own pre-installed apps should just work! Does anyone know what´s going on here? It´s not a big deal, as the weather app still shows the correct barometric pressure, but as an experienced iPhone user I´m just puzzled. And yes, I´ve sent Apple feedback. Thanks for any help/insight!

If we’re talking about “barometer & altimeter pro” from the App Store, I also had to enable “Research Sensor & Usage Data “ to get correct readings. Altimeter setting went from a hard-wired 30.78” to 30.07”, which fit in well with surrounding ASOS reports.
