You have posted in the US user-to-user technical help community. Non of us US users would have any official insight into US vs UK pricing or pricing policies. Search the UK sites/stores for product prices in the UK.

If you've been doing reading, I assume that you are aware that the 13" M1 MacBook Air is a discontinued model – and that the most recent MacBook Airs have M3 processors.
Shop around like anyone else would.
Going to a Wal-Mart is not worth the savings. Those places are awful.
