How to restore purchased playlists after unsubscribing from Apple Music

I've been adding songs to my playlists for years. I temporarily had an Apple Music Subscription. I just tried adding a song and it says that my playlist will be deleted from the cloud and only available on my computer. What's happened? How can I return to using my purchased songs and playlists as previously?
