It DOES measure walking distance workouts, just not Cycle distance. I have Fitness Tracking turned on in the Watch settings, and Motion Calibration turned on in the Phone settings, as well as any other obvious settings. I have also reset calibration data as well, and the problem persists. Both the iPhone and Watch are running current OSs. I am using an Cannondale eBike.
Any ideas?
Unless you have a Bluetooth (or WI-FI) connection to the eBike that may be normal. If you are holding on to the handlebars (and they are stationary) during your workout, your watch has no way of knowing how many times or how vigorous you are pedaling. I have heard that some people actually strap the watch on their ankle during the workout in those situations. However, your heart rate may not be monitored in that case.

That sort of makes sense- but wouldn't the Watch's GPS system measure the distance regardless of how much I pedal? I would understand why it wouldn't measure cadence or pedal speed - but I think the GPS should be able to measure distance and speed.... the Strava app works perfectly on the iPhone in this regard -when I start a Strava workout with the phone when I ride my bike, it measures everything perfectly.
it is almost like the Watch is just ignoring the GPS data....
Apple Watch Ultra (watchOS 10.4) is not measuring Cycle workout distances.
