Is there any way to fix scientific pitch notation in Logic?

Scientific pitch notation in Logic pro X always seems to be off by an octave. A4 is supposed to be 440 hz, but when I play an A4 in Logic, it comes out at 880 hz. It's kind of frustrating and screws up my sheet music scoring sometimes. What's the story here? Is there a way to fix this?

There is no "Scientific pitch notation" with MIDI, there is not even a defined standard what is the middle c ( c3 vs c4). Some vendors use c3 as the middle c (like yamaha), some use c4 (Roland).

You can change this here: Logic Pro > Settings > View > General > Displays > Display Middle C As...
