was trying to install Xcode. But when I click on install I get this error " Xcode can’t be installed on “Mac SSD” because macOS version 14 or later is required."
I don't understand why it won't let me install it. please help. Thanks

From the Apple Apps Store clearly say macOS 14 Sonoma is a requirement
Further down on the Xcode 15.3 panel in the Mac App Store, there is Compatibility that is clearly what you are up against with Ventura 13.6.6 installed:
