How to ensure Lock Screen never turns off?

Hi. I love having my iPad Lock Screen on so the clients I work with can see the time on a fancy little screen, though it turns off after just a few seconds. I’ve already gone through the steps of going to the brightness tab and making sure that auto lock is set to never, but the iPad continues to turn the screen black. I don’t have battery saver mode on or anything. Is this even possible? Feels like I messed around with every setting but the screen continues to go black from the Lock Screen which I want to be on indefinitely.

When locked, your iPad will automatically turn-off the display to save power. There are no settings to alter this intended behaviour.
