cheers, Tom - thanks for asking
'planet GONG' at the top renders as self-hosted font in firefox and chrome, google-hosted fallback font in safari (may flash as unstyled text, because google)
safari web inspector (class='logo', 2nd expandable within body)
also claims font-display:swap; is an 'unsupported property value'
My Safari is only 17.0, but the font seems to be the same as the one in Chrome (kilogram.woff2, right?).
So probably a bug in the later version to report to Apple via
http://www.apple.com/feedback
Could you provide the url of a site where Safari is ignoring the webfont so someone can duplicate your problem?
interesting… no change from previous safari version (a couple days ago), so i guess if it ain't broke break it
<sigh /> thanks again
the number of times i've reported safari shenanigans yet they only seem to multiply… switching to firefox as my default browser was a revelation in that regard

I have also heard good things about Brave, which I think is based on Chrome.
