Hi,

First of all, do you need a monochrome or colour printer?

Do you have an Ethernet expansion card installed in the Performa 6214CD?

One way would be to look for a used, old Apple printer. That is, one of the many StyleWriter or LaserWriter models. You could probably find one via an online auction site or in a thrift shop. A printer connection in this case does not normally require Ethernet. You would use the MiniDIN-8 Printer port (serial/LocalTalk) on the Mac.

The article https://bylenga.ddns.net/index.php?page=68KPrinting.php (albeit about a 68k Macintosh model) could possibly be of interest as well.

Must the files you need to print be opened by an app on the 6214, or could they be printed without the app if moved to another Mac? If the latter, the normally troublesome 62XX series offered one advantage over contemporary mid-1990's Macs. They had ATA drives instead of SCSI. That means the drive could be removed and, with a suitable adapter, connected by USB to a newer Mac. Something like this:

NewerTech Universal Drive Adapter USB Bare Drive Adapter

The 6214's drive would appear on a newer Macs' desktop just like any external drive.

If might help is if you shared the type of files you need to print, and with which app they were created. We might be able to give more specific suggestions if we knew.
