As tbirdvet mentioned, Migration Assistant is pretty darned easy and intuitive to use.
I normally recommend using a Time Machine backup external drive to accomplish the migration, as it's been rock solid for many years now.
If you're migrating from a Mac that has Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 ports, then I recommend getting a Thunderbolt 3 cable to connect the 2 Macs together and migrating in this fashion. (It's faster than a Time Machine external drive...particularly if the external drive isn't an SSD).
I do NOT recommend using WiFi for Migration Assistant, as I feel it's too susceptible to signal dropouts that could cause issues.
The cost, as tbirdvet mentioned, is free. Migration Assistant is built into most Macs sold for many years now. In fact, when you first boot up a new Mac, it launches Setup Assistant, which will lead to the migration tool. (I recommend doing it this way, when first booting up a new Mac...otherwise you may find an unfamiliar new user account on your brand new Mac).
The only other tip I can can think of is that you most certainly use the same login password as your old Mac on the new one, as this isn't mentioned during the Setup Assistant process. If you use a different password, do yourself a favor and write it down.
Hope this helps.

the cost is 0 !
if you already have the new Mac and have already turned it on the first time then connect the old Macs Time Machine External Hard Disk to it. Then start up Migration Assistant ( Applications - Utilities- Migration Assistant) and follow the on screen prompts! Dead easy!!!!
If you have an external drive with a Time Machine backup, or a bootable clone backup (made with Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper!), you could transfer that to the new Mac, and point Migration Assistant at it. There would be no cost for that, except your time.
Note that some things you had on the old machine might not work on the new one. If you had any 32-bit games or other applications running on a pre-Catalina system, they'd be toast. Rosetta 2 can run many applications which were built for macOS/Intel systems, but it can't run 32-bit applications, Intel-only kernel extensions, or applications that create Intel virtual machines (to run Intel-based versions of Windows, Linux, etc.).
While I agree that it is easy peasy, I don't believe the Genius Bar will charge to do this - especially if you just bought your iMac. But be prepared to leave your Mac's overnight.
