iPod only connects to Apple devices app and not Itunes

My ipod nano 4 generation was frozen on the screen with the Apple logo and wouldn’t connect to iTunes, so I put it in disk mode and it popped up in my files and the Apple Devices app but not still iTunes and I don’t know what to do. When I turn it off and on it I’d still stuck on the logo screen. Please help!
