I want to install mt4 platform. I downloaded MetaTrader 4.pkg. downloaded it successfully. upon installation it was stuck at "running package script" I have done it at least 10 times without success. What to do?

You can also try booting into Safe Mode to see whether the install will work. If it does, then it means you have some other third party software installed which is interfering with the normal operation of macOS. Typical culprits are anti-virus apps, cleaning/optimizer apps, and third party security software......none of which are needed on a Mac and should be uninstalled by following the developers' instructions.

Hold the power button until your Mac shuts off. Upon reboot, contact the vendor and verify that the version you are attempting to install is supported for your version of macOS.
It's really up to the developer to fix the installer script. How much troubleshooting are you willing to do on your own?
I have this exact same problem and I can't seem to force quit or do anything about it.
Were you able to solve this?
I cannot shut down, restart, or even force quit the installation.
Please how can this be solved or stopped?

By the way, the old Highway 1 runs from the north end of the Bixby bridge miles back into the hill country. Been there, done that.
