Cannot change YouTube video settings in Safari

I recently updated to Sonoma and running the latest version of Safari. I like to adjust the speed of videos on YouTube and discovered that I'm unable to change any of the video settings in Safari. I can click the cog icon and open the menu of options (ie playback speed, quality, etc) but if I click on any of those options, nothing happens. Safari just closes the menu and plays the video.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue or know if this is a bug?

I just tested and all the controls seem to work fine. Safari 17.3 is my version.
