How can I view an app specific password?

This is clearly an overlooked item for apple, as you can create a new app-specific password one time, but you can never look it up again to verify or use on another device, unless you revoke and then start all over again. Which then I am having to copy, either email or message myself the password then when I'm at my other device being I use Apple at work and home use the password. typically I will have to attempt this a couple times as work and home are not close by.

You are correct: it is no longer possible to view an app password. A solution would be to create a new entry in Passwords (in the settings on Mac or iPhone) and associate it with a fake website name. This password would be synchronized with iCloud and you could consult it on all your devices.
