Add Facebook account to my MACBOOK Pro

Unable to ad FACEBOOK to "Accounts". Undable to upload photos from the SHARE menu to FB from my macbook Iphotos App. Tried recommendations but APPLE will not allow me to add a FACEBOOK account as when I select "Add Account" there is no option to type or to add an account. It just lists accounts I already have but no option to Type or add an unlisted account? Years ago I was able to directly upload photos from my mac to Facebook with out downloading them to my computer, then saving a duplicate then uploading the photo directly from a drive folder. Is this not allowed on Apple? Why? Please advise.
