I try to use the formula to multiply the number (I use the shift + 8 combination to create * sign) by 0.75, as a result, the sign is thrown out - a syntax error
I already tried to change the columns to the "numbers" format, but that doesn't help either
what could be the reason? such an easy formula but an error in the result

=N2*0.75 should be fine as long as N2 contains a number.
Numbers right-aligns values in cells that it recognizes as numbers . Your screenshot shows the values as left-aligned, suggesting Numbers thinks they are text.
Are you sure the Commission column is formatted as Number? Or is it possible your machine is set to a region that uses , as the decimal separator? If so, Numbers will think the values you have entered in the Commission column are text.
Click the red triangle and read the error message. It may give you further clues as to what has gone wrong.

If so, then input 0.75 as 0,75, etc.
