My iPhone wont connect to my PC and I need to install the new version of iTunes but everything seems to indicate I have the latest versions both in my devices. What do I need to do next?

I need to sync my computer and iPhone but it cannot sync because apparently I don't have the latest version of iTunes, however it seems I have the newest versions in both devices.

What exactly is the error message you are receiving?


iTunes only exists in your computer. Your iPhone would not have any version of iTunes on it.


What version of iTunes do you have on your computer exactly?

If iTunes is asking for an update when you connect the iPhone, its likely just a driver update not a version update, and you should allow it to proceed.
