iphone asking for sim pin several times a day

I've had the sim pin feature turned on for a while now but only recently my iphone has started asking me for it several times a day. No resets. No power off/on's. No failed unlock attempts. It will just be sitting on the table and the next time I go to use it it has the "enter sim pin to unlock" message. I know I can just turn off the feature but it never did this before and I should be able to use the feature without it doing this randomly and for no reason several times a day.

It’s not your phone asking for it, it’s the SIM. Take it up with your carrier.

SIM Pin is NEVER an Apple issue. It is 100% a Carrier feature. Apple has nothing to do with that.

Hey, i have the same issue. The first time I noticed I lost signal and then he asked for my sim pin. After that it just keeps happening several times a week 😵‍💫. In the meanwhile, do you already know the answer?
