If I erase a lost device will this effect the new device's information?

Erasing the phone will not affect any other phones that you might have.
Now......if you are asking about removing the lost phone from the list of devices using your Apple ID.....that is a different question.

From my knowledge it will only remove it from icloud, id say your good to go
