AirTag battery change won’t update

My AirTag noticed me earlier today that the battery needed to be changed. I have tried 3 different batteries, all gave the “okay” chirp but the app is still saying to replace the battery. Tried wiping with alcohol, powering down my phone, turning Bluetooth on/off. They are different brand batteries, nothing is working. This is a fairly new AirTag as in less than 3 months old.

Can't open the airtag as shown the apple page for replacement of a airtage battery. How can one actually do this? Received a message indicating one of our Apple Airtags battery is low. Looked up how to replace the battery on Apple's website - they state to push down on either side of the apple logo and turn counterclockwise. I tried multiple times using various amounts of pressure and wasn't able to open the airtag. I'm not a weak person, yet can't seem to open the case to replace the battery. Has anyone else had this issue or how were they able to replace it?
