Keyboard always stopped at 98% after charging sometimes

2017 model.

Recently, it would be easily down to 1% of battery level (I am just using it for designing software, playing Pacman, and nothing much.). When I was charging, it would stop at 98% after a few hours of charging (unlike some earlier years ago it will always be 100% fully charged).

So, usually what I would do is, plug off the charging cable and plug it back.

However, it will always stop at 98%.

Is this means I will need to get a new unit of keyboard?

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 13.6
