iPhone auto-brightness issue

Hello guys, I'd like to know if there is a way to fix the auto-brightness of my iPhone 14 pro max, I'm having an issue with it as it stopped toggling brightness level up or down properly, when I unlock my phone the brightness level is way too low and it remains like that; it doesn't adjust automatically as it should. This issue started some days ago when I updated to iOS 17.4.1; before of that I didn't have any problem with it, I want to think it's a latest ios version bug, but also not sure because to be honest I do use my phone a lot every day since the day I purchased it in November 2022, so I'm curious if it might be (let's hope not) the phone's display that is damaged or something like that by the heavy use I give to it.

Mind to say I do have the auto-brightness option on.

Turn OFF Auto Brightness and then Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

Once you have completed the above action successfully, then Turn ON Auto Brightness and see whether that helped.
