Apple TV not working on Roku

Apple TV app constantly fails to work on my TCL Roku TV. No other app has this problem. The only way to make it work is to uninstall the app; turn off and unplug the TV; and reinstall the app and log back in. But then the same issue will happen a few days later. What is going on? Why can’t Apple TV work on Roku?

Try these procedures:


Another user (mygreensocks) suggested this procedure from Roku Support staff, which reportedly helped several users.

  1. Remove the Apple TV app,
  2. Shut off and unplug the TV (or streaming device),
  3. Wait 30 seconds,
  4. Plug the TV (or streaming device) back in,
  5. Reload the Apple TV app.


Else try the Network Connection Reset, as mentioned by user Jarieta.
