Automate shortcuts without interaction

I’ve created a shortcut in “shortcuts” app that when I get an email from “X” then send a sms/imessage to me.

It is enabled but everytime all I get is a notification to ask me to run it who h largely grts missed

As you can see in this one the notification is at night during do not disturb which is why it gets missed. That said I don't want to manually run it.

Please what setting have I missed?

When you run an automation in the Shortcuts app on your iPhone, it may require approval from the user before it can be executed. This is a security feature that is designed to prevent unauthorized access to your device or sensitive data.

Ask Before Running may not be available in these cases...

In particular, when an automation involves accessing or modifying sensitive data, such as your contacts, location, or camera, health data, Home App the Shortcuts app will prompt you for approval before allowing the automation to proceed. This helps to ensure that you are aware of what the automation is doing and have the opportunity to approve or deny access to your data.

Additionally, if an automation is triggered by a shortcut that has the "Ask Before Running" option enabled, you will be prompted to confirm that you want to run the automation before it is executed. This can help prevent accidental or unintended actions from being performed by the automation.

Overall, the approval process for running an automation is an important security feature that helps to ensure that your data and device are protected from unauthorized access or misuse.

Thanks for the information.

I'm sure many have said but that's a disappointment. There should be a an option. “At your risk” it's a good job they haven't implemented such restrictions on the macos environment as I think no Applescript would work.

I know the answer here is “check your email” but despite all junk filters we get a lot of useless emails. So certain emails get overlooked sometimes. Any suggestions as to what I could trigger so that I know I have got “this” email. I can't have alarms since its often a night.

In the meantime off to try to remove unnecessary emails!
