Persistent wifi connection issues on Mac mini M2 2023

I have a Mac mini M2 2023 for several months now and the wifi connection issues persist. Unfortunately, I don't have ethernet connection so I need to suffer from this unstable connection. The symptoms:

  • After booting or waking from sleep mode, it takes very long to reconnect to wifi.
  • Once it does, wifi drops often and the ping is very high.
  • I have an iPhone and an iPad which connect to the same network but they are working fine.

I have set up 2.4G and 5G networks separately but it doesn't help. What should I do here? My productivity is dramatically affected and If you have any suggestions, thank you in advance.

Start by disabling Sleep - unnecessary and should be disabled. Shut for long absences/idle overnights (i.e. do not manual-sleep), and for regular operation, use the settings exactly as shown below. After correcting the settings, perform a full power down including pulling the plug from the wall/strip, then bring everything back up. Perform a full restart on the router too, should fix the Sleep issue.
