I had created a set of Albums sorting all my photos. Now it's totally buried under view on the toolbar for the Photos app on my I-mac. Is there a way to get back the list view, please? Or how else can I create a new smart album?
Laugh of course I probably need to double check the difference between folders and albums.

Albums are lists of pictures. Folders are lists of Albums and included folders.
This list is on the Sidebar. The Sidebar can be hidden during Preview mode while you're in Full Screen mode, but it should be visible in Thumbnail view. You can change the Full Screen "hiding behavior" under "View>Always Show"

A Smart Album is created under "Photos>File>New Smart Album..."

Just click on the right edge of the Photos window and drag to the right until the sidebar appears.
Thanks, what you are showing is what I expected and can't get to!
For some reason the sidebar no longer shows up in photos, nor the photos or pitcures under Finder in either desktop or icloud.
In Photos, so far I haven't located where to turn the sidebar back on! I expected it under view.
