Hard drive disk space
I have an icon on my desktop that says "Macintosh HD", which says I have 386 GB free on my 1 TB SSD. But if I ebbleopen up Mac "Disc Utility v22.6" it says I only have 57 GB free. What is reliable?

Does it say Free or Available? They are two completely two different references with "Available" being a very misleading term. See my post in this other thread which explains these terms:
