My Bluetooth on my 2012 MacBook Pro laptop has shut down. It shows in the system and says it is off. I tried deleting the p-list and restarting. Still can’t turn it on. I rely on it for air dropping. What else can I do?

Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support
If that doesn't work, you may find a driverless Bluetooth USB dongle you can use. Belkin used to make those.
It is possible that your bluetooth antenna cable in the computer has gotten aged and no longer works well.
