Cant send text after a carrier switch

I just switched my phone carrier and now i cannot send texts at all and when i try to chose my number as where to send and receive messages i cannot chose my phone number

Unable to send SMS texts from iPhone I can receive text from anyone but I cannot send to anyone who uses anything other than an iphone or if a business texts me a question I cannot answer them. My phone won’t allow me to send out messages to just a few other numbers, my phone carrier (O2) cannot seem to work out why. Would it help rectify this issue if I turned Wi-Fi calling on ? Not sure if that’s the way to go , any ideas ? I have a US phone that I’ve put an UK E Sim onto, turned off my US line whilst here in the UK. This shouldn’t cause an issue with my messages should it? Most messages go through to other UK numbers except 3 contacts so far.
