Screen flashing on Zoom Mac computer

Since I began using the very latest Zoom desktop app for Mac (also the latest Mac OS) I have been experiencing strange screen "flashes" to the window that has my image in it during a Zoom meeting. It is the blink of an eye and seems to be some sort of other image that goes by quickly. People I am Zooming with also notice the flashing. It is intermittent and not on a "schedule" or anything. Very annoying....please advise if anyone has any wisdom on this. and thanks.

pixelated squares on my mac, that come and go A few times a month I get pixelated squares on the screen of my mac. They vanish when I move the mouse but will reappear in a different place a few days later. Seems like a hardware issue rather than with the actual screen as it's normal aside from this. Does anyone know what it could be or how to reset this issue? This box isn't letting me attach an image unfortunately.

Why is my MacPro screen dim-flashing periodically, as if a snapshot were being taken? Periodically, my MacPro (M1, Sonoma 14.5) screen dims/flashes, similar to how a screen snapshot app does. I can't find out why. I've confirmed that the "Flash the screen when an alert sound occurs" is OFF, yet it still occurs. Perhaps it is innocuous, but could it be a spyware of some sort that is taking screen shots? I've run Bitdefender scans but it is not picking anything up. Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks!
