Lg 27UP600-W.A Monitor very dark screen using M2 Max Mac Studio

I received an M2 Max Mac Studio for Christmas, hooked it up to my PC’s monitor and everything looked dark. Yesterday, we bought a new LG 27UP600-W.A 4k monitor, hoping to get a better results. The results were quite the same only in 4K; a dark picture & what seemed oversaturated. We tried changing the setting on the monitors (through a joystick on the bottom of it) but never got a good picture. We were using a video I’d made on my iPhone & were comparing the colors with the iPhone which looks perfectly natural and awful on the Mac Studio/lg monitor.

This morning we tried out the monitor on my husband’s pc & the picture is great leading me to think the problem is somewhere in the Mac Studio Settings. Everything is up do date on the Mac Studio macOS 14.4.1 . This is my first Apple Computer so I’m an absolute newbie. I’ve been using iPads & Iphones for years though & finally decided to try an Apple computer. I picked the Mac studio after checking out a ton of reviews on video editing & other interests I have.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a bunch for any help,

Judi
