Dictation annoyance - the OBJ symbol

This has been well documented--a problem that continues through many iOS iterations:

You dictate on your phone to make a comment on Facebook. If you view your comment on Facebook on a Windows PC, you'll see one or more OBJ symbols. You won't see the OBJ symbols on your iPhone or other Apple device.

I offer this cumbersome workaround: After dictating the Facebook comment on your iPhone, select all, delete the comment text and then paste the text back into the comment space. Now, if you view the comment on a PC you won't see the OBJ symbol.

Sure wish Apple of Facebook would fix this so I wouldn't have to do this workaround.

This happens because your iPhone and PC use different versions of the Unicode standard, which is a system for representing text on computers.

Newer emojis or special characters dictated on your iPhone might not be supported by the older Unicode version on the PC.

Apple does not create its own emoticons or emojis. However, Apple does include a set of emojis in its iOS operating system that is based on the Unicode Consortium's emoji standard. These emojis are standardized and can be used across different platforms and devices that also support the Unicode standard.

I don't think Apple has anything to do with the use of Unicode by Windows and Facebook.
