How do you archive & restore text messages on a iPhone 15 ?

You cannot truly archive anything on iCloud. iCloud is a synching service. If you use iCloud for text messages, then your messages are being synced with iCloud and shared with your other devices that are logged in with the same Apple ID.

When you create backups on iCloud or a computer, then you can restore your entire iPhone, including text messages, from those backups.
