My ability to zoom in/out on google maps app suddenly stopped working a couple of days ago. Nothing changed on my iPad except the Google Maps software update. I can still zoom in/out on other apps including apple maps, so it's not the trackpad. I've deleted the app and reinstalled it and it's still broke.

I’m also facing the same issue. Zooming in Google Maps using the trackpad is no longer supported. I’m using iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard.
You’re not alone. It’s driving me nuts.
